Hoisin-Honey sauce

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup rice wine
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons Asian chile sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 2 tablespoons thin soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • Peanut butter
  • lime juice
  • sake
  • coconut milk
 METHOD:
    1. Corn Starch to the rescue - For thin sauces, keep a mixture of cornstarch, water and oil on hand. Oil will prevent lumps. Should thicken immediately. Proportions 1-1-1/2.
