Hoisin-Honey sauce
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup rice wine
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons Asian chile sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 2 tablespoons thin soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon dark sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- Peanut butter
- lime juice
- sake
- coconut milk
METHOD:
- Corn
Starch to the rescue - For thin sauces, keep a mixture of cornstarch,
water and oil on hand. Oil will prevent lumps. Should thicken
immediately. Proportions 1-1-1/2.
